A beautiful rainforest located in the middle of Malaysia's capital city.
If you stay in a city, I'm sure you must have at least told yourself once that you wished you could look ahead and see nothing man-made, just everything about nature that just speaks "peaceful" to you. This is one of those places to get away from all the stress that is the city.
The KL Forest Eco-Park is a small patch of rainforest located in the very middle of Kuala Lumpur, just beside one of Malaysia's monuments, KL Tower. Not many would know if its location which makes the rainforest a hidden gem in Kuala Lumpur.
This small green patch of rainforest preserves many species of creatures which include ants, centipedes and many more insects as well as it features the original rainforest that had belonged on this land before the capital city of Malaysia was built on it.
Although it is located in the city, being in the rainforest, you would not feel the stress being given off from the city. Just being located in the middle of the rainforest, you would be accompanied with the trees that stand tall as well as the sounds of cicadas buzzing day and night. Being in such a location, you would not be disturbed by the sounds of traffic jams in the area, in fact, you'd feel like you're in the middle of an expansive wilderness.
Some of the creatures that have made themselves a home in the area are known as the silvered leaf monkeys, they were relocated by someone into the rainforest and they have shown no fear towards human beings around the area. In fact, other creatures that have been sighted in the rainforest are various species of squirrels, skinks, snakes, small reptiles, some species of birds and a wide range of insects, or better known as invertebrates.
If you're looking for a place where you could escape from the struggles of a major city but could not afford a vacation, be no stranger to this place as it does not require any payment for entrance. Call it a small getaway from the struggles of life.
